Vivo X80 Pro Camera to Use Sony IMX886 Sensor
Vivo will launch new premium smartphones on April 11. The company has confirmed the launch of the X Note, X Fold and the Vivo Pad tablet in China on April 11. At the end of next month, the company is rumoured to launch its new Android flagship smartphone series.
Reports suggest that the Vivo X80 series launch event will be hosted in China during the last week of April. Vivo is expected to announce at least two new smartphones, namely the X80 and X80 Pro.
The company might ditch the X80 Pro+ model this year and replace it with the X Note. While we wait for some official launch details, a new leak has revealed the camera sensor details of the X80 Pro. Let’s take a look at the Vivo X80 Pro specifications, features and other details leaked online.
Vivo X80 Pro Camera Specifications
Vivo X80 Pro will sit alongside the X80 as part of the company’s latest premium Android smartphone series with high-end specs. The exact launch date remains unknown. While we wait for that, a new leak has revealed the main camera sensor details of the X80 Pro. Tipster Bald Panda (via GizmoChina) took to Weibo to reveal that the X80 Pro will feature a Sony IMX886 main camera sensor.
The new Sony sensor will be 1/1.56-inch in size and have an RGBW arrangement. There is no word on the megapixel count but we can safely assume it to be a 50MP sensor. The sensor isn’t the largest as we have seen smartphones launch with a 1/1.28-inch in India from the likes of Xiaomi.
In addition to the Sony IMX886 sensor, we can also expect the phone to feature Vivo’s custom-developed V1 Image Signal Processor (ISP) that will help produce better colours and details.
The tipster did not reveal any details about the other camera sensors on the X80 Pro. Other specs of the phone have leaked in the past. The Pro model is rumoured to feature a 6.78-inch display with a QHD+ resolution. As expected, it will sport an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate support.
It is also rumoured to pack a 4700 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone is expected to draw power from a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and come with up to 12GB of RAM.
The standard X80 will also have a 6.78-inch display but with a Full HD+ resolution. It will pack a smaller 4500 mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The details of the phones remain unknown at the moment.
